UPDATE: We actually did go back a second time and STILL went without the kiddos, omg, worst parents ever! haha (just kidding, I hope not) We met up with Rachel of Rachel Baker Photography and got to do the most fun photo shoot ever. What’s better than running around the Arizona State Fair acting like teenagers and capturing it all on camera. The only downside of the night was the worst traffic I’ve ever seen that made us miss sunset. Oh well, there’s always next year!
Wyatt and I just had the BEST date night that we’ve had in the longest time! Last week we got an invite from Coley and Lindsay of Junk in the Trunk Vintage Markets for a behind the scenes night at the Arizona State Fair. And let me just say, we haven’t been to the fair in at least 7 years or so and we didn’t really have any solid plans on going back until we got this invitation… but, we’re so glad we did! So many of my blogging girlfriends and their significant others were also invited so it was like a huge group date. So much fun! We pretty much felt like we were in high school all over again. I guess that’s what happens when you turn the parents loose at the fair minus the kiddos. haha.
We got to experience all sorts of fair food that I’d probably never try on my own. Our fave was the cotton candy kettle corn dipped in liquid nitrogen! It was surprisingly really good and soooo much fun to eat. We also got to ride a few different rides like the huge slide that we had to do more than once. I’m pretty sure I beat Wyatt both times buuuuut I might’ve cheated just a little bit. You gotta do what you gotta do!
The Arizona State Fair is officially running through the 29th of October and we’re thinking we might have to go back and take the girls this time… no more excuses of “meetings” we have to attend. I would’ve had a super pissed 3 year old on my hands if she knew where we really were! Thanks Lindsay, Coley and the Arizona State Fair for the best night and making us feel like kids again.
