You guys… I can’t freaking believe it. We’ve had 365 days of Indy Rose. A whole year?! She completed her very first lap around the sun last Thursday and of course we had to celebrate. Not only celebrating her but also that we survived a whole year of keeping two kids alive! Hallelujah. This year has been a year of adjustments, learning and enjoying being a family of four. So here’s to my 20 pounds of smiles, love and constant ma-ma-ma’s. Love you to the end of the world Indy girl!
As for her party, we kept it super simple as it was just family that was going to be there. The same gal at AJ’s Fine Foods that made Harper’s birthday cake (here) made these super yummy cupcakes and a mini smashcake for the birthday girl. We kept them super simple and just added some flamingo picks randomly. Decorations included my good ol’ Gunn & Swain blanket, inflatable flamingos, multiple banners from Target, the Let’s Flamingle banner from Hooray Everyday, and the cutest flamingo napkins that I found on Amazon. Her Paush outfit from Shop Sweet Threads I literally go over 6 months ago and I’ve been saving it for her birthday… heads up, now she barely fits in it. blah. But damn, it’s cute! Her little birthday hat was seriously the cutest thing and I bought that forever ago too. I’ll include links to everything at the bottom of the page for those of you that want them! We were all in a sugar coma for the rest of the night but it was worth it. Indy even needed a bath pre-presents because she was coated in buttercream frosting… greasy but so sweet! Her kisses were the BEST all night long haha.
Also, a little tip for you guys that are digging on the chalkboard… DO NOT hot glue stuff to it! When I removed the paper fans it ripped the paint right off with it soooo now I have another project to work on, fixing the chalkboard. But seriously though, find friends with awesome taste. My girlfriend Sarah with Bug and Brookie totally let me use a bunch of stuff from her daughter’s flamingo party last year and it saved me so much money. Thanks Sarah!!! I want to get a group together where we can all exchange party decor because it can get so expensive to throw cute parties, who’s in?!
